Tn Line Towers

Vaibhav Group has executed more than 15 switchyard projects upto 33KV on turn-key basis. Being a turn-key provider we supply all the equipments that are required for the execution of such projects. Starting from deploying connections adhering to NFC standard, executing LV installations as per IEC standards, and carrying out DIN standard exports, to supplying transmission line hardware, designing line towers, and supplying transmission line hardware, Vaibhav Group has done all these and more.

Tn Line Towers

At Vaibhav Group, our highly capable and experienced in-house designing team can design the towers as per the projects’ requirements. We have designed, manufactured, and supplied over 5000 transmission line towers in the past 5 years. Vaibhav Group is one of the few A-Class Vendors that caters to the state electricity board’s tower requirements, and we have even supplied more than 2000 line towers in a month to meet their urgent requirements. We also provide transmission line hardware in addition to supplying and erecting anti climbing devices.

Isolator

Isolator

High Voltage Installations may sometimes face some faults, which is where isolators (also called air break switches) can help. As the name suggests, these are basically disconnectors, which are used horizontally for the purpose at our different project sites. All the isolators supplied by us have been working satisfactorily. We also supply dolo cutouts, AB switches, and more.
 
Features :

  • The moving contact blade is an Aluminum /copper tube with special copper profile with a bimetallic strip fitted with silver plated copper contacts.
  • The stationary contacts are silver plated copper, spring loaded to maintain constant contact pressure.
  • The electrical contact system is easily and quickly replaced should it be damaged due to a fault current or damaging event.
  • Range of Terminal connectors to suit current requirements.
  • Robust design and construction.
  • Encapsulation of rotary pedestals and heads.
  • No significant changes of contact resistance over many years of services.
  • Constant contact pressure.
  • Stable rotary pedestals ensure no insulator deflection even with high static load.

Dropout Fuse

Dropout Fuse

We have installed drop out fuses as important safety devices for small distribution transformers. The drop out fuse opens the circuit and serves the mechanical isolation of system in case of flow of fault current. Wherever we have installed these, they are practically maintenance-free as they require just the timely replacement of fuse element. Type testing is done for all our drop out fuses, and these test reports are provided to the clients on demand.

We have most widely used Station Class Lightening Arresters on many of our turn key projects for the protection of station transformer and switchgears.

Neutral Grounding Resistors

Neutral Grounding Resistors


We have installed NGRs on our River Water System for Power Generation Plant Project, between the neutral & the earth so that it will limit the earth fault current to a safe value (normally full load current of the generator, transformer, etc.), thereby protecting the transformer, generator system.
 
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Current Ratings Initial current that flows when cold and is equal to system’s full load current. Designed as per system’s requirement.
Voltage Ratings Line to Neutral Voltage: = System Voltage / √3 . Designed as per system’s requirement.
Short Time Rating 10 / 30 / 60 seconds
Continuous Rating 5 – 10% of full load current
Standards 1. IEEE-32, IS-3043 & BS 162 for neutral grounding resistor.
2. IS 2147 or IS 12063 of 1987 for degree of protection for enclosure.
3. IS 5 for paint shade.
4. Any other standard as required.
Tests Routine Tests : Visual and Dimensional, Meger test using 1000V Meger, Resistance measurement.

Special Test :
Temperature Rise Test – Conducted at CPRI Bangalore for continuous and short time ratings.
Protection Test – ARAI, Pune for IP 33, IP55, and IP65 as per IS2147 or IS12063 of 1987 Any other test if required can be conducted.
